2. Application
Surface prep: inspect old varnish → strip if widespread damage → sand 120→180→220 along grain → remove dust with tack cloth → degrease (especially teak). Apply: thin coats along grain, first 2 coats diluted for penetration, sand between each coat (220→320), minimum 6–8 coats for new wood, 3–4 for renewal. Use 2K polyurethane for maximum durability (3–5 years).
