Fiberglass is tough but not invincible. We repair impact damage and stress cracks using Lloyds-approved resins.
Scientific Method: The 12:1 Rule
Covering a crack with filler just hides it. We scarf (taper) the damaged area out to 12 times its depth to create a massive bonding surface. New fiber layers integrate seamlessly with the old hull.
Materials
We use Epoxy (West System) or Vinylester for superior bonding and water resistance. We avoid weaker Polyester resins for structural structural repairs. We use Biaxial/Triaxial fabrics for optimal load distribution.
