Fouling Release vs. Traditional Antifouling

Traditional paints rely on releasing biocides (copper) to kill marine life. Fouling Release technology is biocide-free; it creates a hydrophobic surface so slippery that organisms simply cannot attach firmly. Any slime that does settle is washed off automatically when the vessel exceeds 8-10 knots.

Our Application Process (Hempel / Intersleek)

Requires complete removal of old antifouling to bare hull/epoxy primer. We apply specialized Tie-Coats followed by the Silicone Topcoat in a dust-free environment using airless spray. Critical timing and surface prep are key.

Suitability

Perfect for vessels cruising frequently (15+ knots). Not recommended for boats sitting idle for months. We apply Hempel Hempaguard X7, International Intersleek, and Jotun SeaQuantum Ultra S.
